Our physical supply operations are based in Denmark under the brand Malik Energy.

The role: Bunker Trader

As a Bunker Trader at Malik, you'll be part of a well-established, professional trading team with deep expertise in the bunker market. You’ll receive thorough onboarding and a warm welcome into a supportive and collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities:

• Coordinate with local ports and supply agents to ensure smooth bunker deliveries.

• Identify new business opportunities and support ongoing business development.

• Acquire and manage client accounts, both new and existing.

• Understand client needs, negotiate prices, and close deals.

Who we’re looking for

You have previous experience as a bunker trader or a solid background in business or sales-ideally with exposure to the shipping industry, though this is not essential. Most importantly, you are driven, commercially minded, and eager to thrive in a fast-paced trading environment. As a trader, you are willing to live in Athens and fluent in Greek, which will support seamless collaboration with local clients, partners, and our Greece-based team.

You should also:

• Be eligible to live and work in Athens, Greece.

• Be open to traveling at least 20 days per year.

• Be proactive, sociable, and ambitious.

• Enjoy the dynamic, round-the-clock nature of shipping and trading.

• Be fluent in both written and spoken English and Greek.
